U.S. Reveals Details Of Islamabad MoU With Iran

U.S. President, Donald Trump

Following pressure from several quarters, especially the media, the United States has finally revealed details of its agreement with Iran to end the war between it and Israel on the one hand, against the Islamic Republic.

President Donald Trump had announced that the agreement would be signed between the U.S. and Iran on Friday, June 19, 2026. He, however, threatened that U.S. would resume bombing if Iran failed to abide by the Memorandum of Understanding, which he said was not final.

“If they don’t behave, we’ll go right back to dropping bombs right smack in the middle of their head, OK?” he declared.

Going by the 14-point MoU, which was agreed upon last weekend, there is now the termination of military operations on all fronts, and that includes in Lebanon, as well as the immediate reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, and ending of U.S. naval blockade.

Part of the deal, officially titled the “Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran”, says Iran agreed to never have a nuclear weapon. Meanwhile, a 300 billion dollars fund will be made available for the “reconstruction and economic development” of Iran.

It also says that all sanctions imposed on Iran are to be lifted once the MoU is signed.

According to the deal, both the US and Iran have committed to negotiate and reach the final agreement in 60 days, to be extended if it becomes necessary.

With this deal, the violence that has raged in the Middle East for over three months from February 28 to June 15, 2026 has now ended, or so it seems.
