For three days, from Friday, October 9 to Sunday, October 11, 2026, the ancient town of Agbowa in Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area in Lagos State, stood still for Jesus.
The rural community hosted the Agbowa Miracle Crusade, organised by the International Miracle Service (IMS) led by Pastor Andrew Umoru.
It was a three-pronged festival of miracles, mercy and mentorship, which began with a courtesy visit to the palace of the traditional ruler of Agbowa, Oba Saheed Owolabi Momson, by the IMS team, alongside leaders of the local chapters of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) and Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), on Friday morning.
Speaking on the mission to the community, Umoru told the monarch and his palace chiefs that IMS was in Agbowa to bring the message of salvation and deliverance to the people. “We are here to call them to reconcile with God,” he said, adding that it was in obedience to Jesus’ command to His followers, to go about doing good and healing those oppressed by the devil, just as Jesus Himself did.
On his part, Oba Momson expressed delight in the mission and expressed confidence that the crusade would bring liberation to his people and help rid the community of idolatry and oppression. He said he was in support of development and whatever would bring that about, especially as it pertained to the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The Crusade Nights
The three nights 0f the crusade were a sight to behold as the people demonstrated rare spiritual hunger, filling the open Beach Ground as early as 5pm each day. The traditional ruler also made his presence felt with his attendance, encouraging his people to fully participate in the crusade and other activities by the IMS team.
Worship was led by the IMS Choir, and other music ministers drawn from partner churches under the PFN. It was tagged, “Emi Ni, Mase Beru”, which means, “It is I, be not afraid”, a quotation from John 6:20 where Jesus spoke to His disciples to calm their fear as He walked on water to meet them.

Throughout the three-day crusade, Pastor Umoru preached on the need to surrender to the Lord Jesus Christ who brought salvation to humanity through His death and resurrection. His messages centred on Christ as the ultimate power in the universe, captivating the audience made up of men, women, the young and the old.
He also led sessions of intense prayers, activating the people and urging them to take the fight to the devil and free themselves from demonic bondage. Many responded to the altar calls to confess their sins and receive salvation in Christ. Those who made the first-time decisions for Christ were prayed for and later hosted at a banquet where they were documented for follow-up by designated local churches.
Following prayers for healing and deliverance, several miracles were also reported — several testified of instant relief from chronic pains, visual impairment, and various kinds of spiritual attacks.
Pastor Umoru said what God did in Agbowa-Ikosi would never be forgotten. “Agbowa will never be the same,” he said on the third night, the grand finale of the crusade, as he rounded off his message and prayers.

The crusade ended with prayers for Lagos State and for Nigeria, while the community leaders present thanked the IMS team for bringing both medicine and the message to a town many ministries overlook. The International Miracle Service said follow-up would continue through its partner churches in Agbowa.
Medical Outreach and Ministry to Youths
On the second day of the crusade, in partnership with volunteer doctors and nurses, the IMS team provided free blood pressure and blood sugar checks, eye screening, malaria testing, consultations and free drugs. Elderly men and women who could not afford hospital bills were prayed for and treated on the spot.
According to Pastor Umoru, “The outreach was our way of showing Agbowa the mercy of God first.” The ministry to the youths, young adults and children focused on frank talks on purpose and the vices that youths and young adults struggle to overcome, with the assurance that Jesus is the solution to every challenge.
The central message was that even though they might have been born in a rural town, God does not forget people and their location is not a limitation. The sessions ended with dozens of young people surrendering to Christ. They also went away with gift items distributed to them by the IMS welfare team.
