Christian women have been challenged to deepen their commitment to God and embrace the call to greater service in God’s Kingdom.
The charge was given during the CAPRO Annual Women’s Mission Conference held at the Chapel of Christ Our Light, University of Lagos, on June 27, 2026.
The conference, tagged “Called for More”, brought together women, church leaders, ministers, and other guests for a time of worship, biblical teaching, prayer, panel discussions, and spiritual empowerment.
In her welcome address, the Head of Women Prayer Desk at CAPRO International Mission Office in Lagos, Charity Iorlamen, said the conference was designed to deepen participants’ relationship with God.
The missionary explained that the conference was also organised to help women, young and old, rekindle their passion for missions and Kingdom service, as well as equip them to discover and fulfil God’s purpose for their lives.
Called for More
According to her, the theme “Called for More” reminds Christian women that they are called beyond routine church attendance to deeper intimacy with God. She said women are called to greater obedience, spiritual maturity, sacrificial service, and lasting impact in their homes, churches, communities, and nations.

Drawing inspiration from biblical women such as the Shunamite woman, Esther, Deborah, Mary Magdalene, and the Samaritan woman, Iorlamen encouraged participants to respond wholeheartedly to God’s call and become instruments of transformation in their generation.
Essential Tips for Kingdom Service
One of the highlights of the conference was a panel discussion on “Self-care for Women.” The session featured Busayo Aluge and Tolu Brenda Ogunko, who explained that self-care is not selfish but an intentional lifestyle of stewardship.
They encouraged Christian women to intentionally care for their body, soul, and spirit, noting that physical health, emotional well-being, financial responsibility, and spiritual growth are essentials for effective Kingdom service.
The panelists stressed that women who take time to nurture themselves are better equipped to fulfil their God-given assignments in the family, the Church, the workplace, and society at large.
While giving his remarks, Chaplain of the Chapel of Christ Our Light, Reverend Azuka Ogbolumani, encouraged the participants to try and do the works of God by having simple faith in Christ. He stressed the need for women to have deep faith in God as they journey through life.
The conference also featured fervent prayers, practical discussions, and testimonies aimed at mobilising women for missions, evangelism, discipleship, leadership, and other areas of Christian ministry.
