Killing Of Christians In Plateau: It Feels Helpless – Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo

Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo in the grave of victims of a recent attack in Plateau

Popular cleric, Reverend Ezekiel Dachomo, is once more mourning the reported killing of seven Christians in a recent attack in Plateau State, Nigeria, as he appeals for prayers and protection for communities living under persistent fear of attacks.

In an emotional message shared on Sunday, the clergyman described feeling “helpless” after repeatedly burying members of his community, expressing anguish over the continued loss of lives and uncertainty about who might be targeted next.

Dachomo questioned how many more people must die before decisive action is taken to protect vulnerable communities and bring an end to the recurring violence.

Reports of attacks in Plateau State have documented repeated killings in several communities, raising renewed concerns over the safety of residents and the protection of Christian communities.

Despite his grief, Dachomo urged Christians to pursue justice through peaceful and lawful means rather than resort to retaliation.

Quoting Romans 12:19, he reminded believers that “Vengeance belongs to the Lord,” encouraging them to remain courageous, united and steadfast in their faith despite the painful circumstances.

The clergyman also appealed to Christians across the world to remember Nigeria in their prayers, particularly families grieving the loss of loved ones and communities living with the daily fear of further attacks.

He stressed the importance of ensuring that the suffering of affected families does not go unnoticed, calling for prayers, protection and meaningful action to safeguard lives.

The renewed appeal highlights the urgent need for effective security measures, accountability for perpetrators and lasting peace in Plateau State, where repeated attacks have left families grieving and communities anxious about their future.

Kingdom Times calls on the global Christian community to continue praying for Nigeria, for the comfort of grieving families, the protection of vulnerable communities and the restoration of peace across the nation.
