Lead Pastor of International Miracle Service (IMS), Pastor Andrew Umoru, has stressed the urgent need for Nigerians to seek genuine repentance and divine help from God.

This, according to him, is the solution to the numerous challenges the citizens of the most populous black country in the world are grappling with currently. They range from insecurity to economic hardship, and other social challenges.

Pastor Umoru was speaking as the guest minister at the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) Lagos Mainland Province’s annual revival programme tagged “Help From Above,” which was held at the Bariga Primary School Complex in Lagos.

Addressing worshippers and some journalists during the crusade, the cleric noted that the theme reflected humanity’s urgent need for God’s intervention amid troubling national and global realities. He maintained that the solutions to Nigeria’s challenges require spiritual awakening and a return to God.

According to him, many believers today experience delays in answered prayers owing to sin, disobedience, and disconnection from God.

“Help from above is about creating access for God’s assistance to come upon mankind freely,” Pastor Umoru said, adding that repentance, atonement, and obedience to God remain critical pathways to experiencing divine help.

The minister who warned that believers cannot effectively exercise spiritual authority while living in disobedience to God’s commands, maintaining that national transformation begins with personal transformation and a sincere return to godly values.

In the same vein, PFN Chairman, Lagos State, Pastor Chinedu Momah, who was represented by the group’s General Secretary, Pastor Moses Mboso, stated that the revival crusade was organized to draw people back to God and inspire collective prayers for national healing and restoration.

“The nation is not in its best shape, and the responsibility of rebuilding it should not be left to political leaders alone. Every citizen has a role to play,” he said, while urging Nigerians to seek God sincerely for peace, unity, and security.

The crusade which attracted Christian faithful, church leaders, and residents from different parts of Lagos State, featured sessions of worship, fervent prayers, deliverance ministrations, and messages of hope for the nation.

The organizers described the gathering as part of PFN’s continuing commitment to promoting spiritual renewal, unity among believers, and national transformation through prayer.
