The stage is set for the fifth edition of the Annual Women’s Missions Conference organised by the International Office of Calvary Ministries (CAPRO).
Women from different denominations, professions and generations will on Saturday, June 27, 2026 converge on Lagos for the conference under the theme, “Called for More.” The conference is scheduled at the Chapel of Christ Our Light, University of Lagos (UNILAG), Akoka, Yaba.
According to the organisers, the event is designed to challenge women to embrace God’s higher purpose for their lives and actively participate in the advancement of the Gospel among unreached peoples.
The theme is drawn from 2 Kings 4:8-16 and Ephesians 4:1, which emphasize a call to deeper commitment, greater influence and increased Kingdom service.
The 2026 gathering comes on the heels of the impactful 2025 Women’s Missions Conference, where renowned business leader and Christian mentor, Ibukun Awosika, inspired participants with a passionate charge on leadership, purpose and the strategic role of women in missions and nation-building.
At the 2025 conference, Awosika challenged Christian women to move beyond the boundaries of comfort and self-preservation, stressing that God’s purpose for women extends beyond personal success to transformational influence in communities, nations and the mission field.
Her message resonated strongly with CAPRO’s long-standing commitment to mobilising believers for cross-cultural missions and evangelism.
Her emphasis on intentional leadership, collaboration, mentorship and purpose-driven living aligned with themes she has consistently championed at leadership forums across Africa, where she has encouraged women to rise as change-makers and active contributors to societal and spiritual transformation.
The upcoming conference seeks to continue that conversation, challenging participants to see themselves as women divinely positioned for greater impact in God’s Kingdom.
Attendees are urged to prepare to experience worship, teachings, fellowship, missionary exposure and practical sessions aimed at equipping women for effective Christian service.
CAPRO, founded in 1975, remains one of Africa’s foremost indigenous missionary movements, with a vision to reach unreached people groups through evangelism, discipleship, church planting and holistic community transformation.
For CAPRO, the message remains clear: women are not merely invited to witness the work of God; they are called for more, which is to serve, to lead, to mentor, to disciple and to help fulfil the Great Commission.
